Hi! My name is Erin Ratliff, but most students know me as Ms. R. I’m originally from La Center, Washington, where I grew up as the youngest of three girls. While I earned my bachelor’s degree in Marketing, I quickly realized that field wasn’t the right fit for me—I wanted to explore the world and connect with people in a more meaningful way.
That desire led me to South Korea, where I began teaching English as a Foreign Language to 3rd through 6th graders. I absolutely loved the experience, and it inspired me to pursue a career in education full-time. I went on to earn my teaching license and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
Over the past three years, I’ve worked as a substitute teacher in both the Vancouver and Woodland School Districts, gaining valuable experience across grade levels and classrooms.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me traveling, biking, playing tennis, or spending quality time with my wonderful nieces and nephews.
I’m excited to continue growing as an educator and building strong connections with students and families!
