Hello! I am Ms. Kadee Herrington. I was hired as the Title 1 Coordinator for the 2015-2016 school year. I was completing my master’s degree in teaching at Heritage University. I have completed that program and absolutely love my Wishram School family and am so happy they decided to keep me around! Currently,  I have stepped into a new role as the elementary Lead Teacher this year, along with being the 504 Coordinator and Curriculum Adoption Coordinator. I have really enjoyed my time here at Wishram School and I cannot express how excited I am about our future! I am in the process of developing and fine-tuning an intervention program for both math and reading for our struggling learners and introducing a curriculum that is proven to reach all students and provide challenging and appropriate learning opportunities. I am passionate about student growth and, with the support of families, we can definitely get every student at Wishram School, college, and career ready when they graduate.  

I went to Goldendale High School and graduated in 1996. I went on to Central Washington University to play basketball and study. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in family sciences. I taught preschool and was a home visitor in Goldendale at Head Start for 12 years before I decided to go on and get my master’s degree in teaching. I attended an accelerated program through Heritage University while working here at Wishram School during my first year. I am certain that I hit the lottery. I appreciate every aspect of our small school and I promise that I will continue to work hard under my many titles and duties to provide the best learning opportunities for each student in Wishram School. 

I live in Goldendale on the family ranch. We raise cattle, wheat, and hay. I am the proud mother of 2 beautiful daughters. Dilynn is 10 and Jordynn is 8.  We have a lot of fun doing everything outdoors, riding horses, raising steers for the fair, swimming, spending time in the mountains, and camping. We also have a very active sports life. We enjoy basketball and volleyball right now and will soon jump into fastpitch softball!! My family is my most valued treasure and I enjoy everything we do together, even if it’s just talking over dinner or watching movies! I always try to take time to smell the roses, which is important in our busy lives. 

Again, I am happy to be here and I love everything about our school. I will be working hard and closely with the elementary team in the coming years to get the students ready for secondary and postsecondary education! I look forward to many years at Wishram School and will forever be a huge fan. Go Rattlers!!!

***Update- I have moved on from the Title 1 and 504 Coordinator positions and I currently have the pleasure of teaching kindergarten/1st graders.  I can say I enjoy coming in every day and being able to help mold these youngsters as they develop.
